Some of you may not have seen Taylor perform live and may not love what to anticipate. I was fortunate enough to get seen Taylor play lastyear during her Fearless tour and I thinking i would hand down a pair of impressions. Although I have seen a lot of footage andinformation about her Mouth Now tour, I dont need to have too much away about that.
You will love it a lot more if you dont knowall the specifics before you see her.
I should have known that im a 50 year old musician so although I am a Taylor fan, im not your conventional Taylor fan.
Taylor Swift is not your common pimped out diva. She is really often a real performer and songwriter and that feeling continuesthroughout her show. Her band plays very good but there is very little if any digital deception going on. You are hearingthem play live, when they play. Taylors vocals were rather good, especially considering she had played about fifty shows before Isaw her. The audience pretty much sings out every song, which for some songs is a bit irritating. After all, I desire to hear Taylorsing her songs. Fortunately for some of the quiter songs, the crowd did quiet down and Taylors vocals were great.
Does Taylor put on a point? You bet. The sets she used for her tour encorporated castles, staircases, tree scenerys and often more.Having seen many supergroups perform, I can truly say that Taylors backgrounds and scenery effects are top notch. In one song(you love the one)there is a rain machine that pours down on Taylor while she sings. The rain spells out NO on the way down.By theend Taylor is totally drenched. In between songs there were a few videos to get the crowd warmed up. As if they needed warming up.Taylor got huge roars of approval throughout the show. Sometimes it seemed they may not stop. The daughter is well loved.Taylor jumpsaround the stage, throws her hair around like wild woman, and interacts with the crew and her band. This lady is also a hardworker.
Taylor popped up in the interview a couple times during her performance, and I see that is likewise the cause with the currenttour also. These were my favorite parts as they were very personal. These songs were predominantly slower songs that were just Taylor and herguitar, and really, they were great. At one point Taylor explains that her old guitar teacher told her she would never play the 12 string because her men were too small. Then she belts out some nice chords on her 12 string to the crowds approval. At onepoint in the show Taylor even plays an oilcan drum duet, and once more its pretty impressive.
I would recommend seeing Taylors new turn to only about anyone. You will be seeing and hearing a legendary songwriter and performerat a concert im certain you will think your total life. For more info on Taylor Swift Tour Dates 2011, please visit thelinks below.
